Overview

Zaamin tourism zone is an ecologically pure region which has preserved its original appearance and has unique flora and fauna. Located in the Zaamin State Reserve in the Jizzakh Region of Uzbekistan, on the tourist route between Samarkand and Tashkent. It is known from history that Zaamin was part of one of the most ancient regions in Central Asia: Ustrushana, surrounded by ancient regions of Sogd, Bactria, Fergana and Chach. The age of Zaamin exceeds two thousand years. Zaamin is especially beautiful in spring and autumn.

Morning — Drive to Zaamin

Early morning departure from Tashkent. Drive through the Jizzakh steppes (approximately 3.5 hours). Arrival at the Zaamin State Reserve.

Exploring Zaamin

Explore the national park with a local ranger. In the depths of the pine forests you can find rare birds: ring dove, bunting, turtle dove, blackbird, Turkestan owl and Turkestan starling. Also here you can find the unusual white-winged grosbeak. The national park is an ideal place for ecotourism, and Zaamin mountains are a candidate for the UNESCO List of Natural World Heritage. Picnic lunch surrounded by nature. Return to Tashkent in the evening.
